The bioinformatics specialist, Monica Diez (Genomcore's Functional Product Director), contributed her expertise to the focus group on health data management. The participation took place within the "Dacibersalut-Components" project, organized by the Institut Hospital del Mar FP Sanitaria.
The objective of the session was to identify the key competencies for the vocational training profile of a bioinformatics technician, with the aim of defining the curriculum for a future officially accredited specialization course.
During the meeting, current and future needs in health data management were analyzed, and work was done to define the essential knowledge, roles, and competencies that will need to be incorporated into the training of future professionals in this sector within Vocational Training.
